Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: May 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to tuition services provided through PPL Tuition at https://ppltuition.co.uk.

By requesting or booking a tuition session, you agree to the terms below.

  1. Nature of the Service

PPL Tuition provides private PPL(A) theory tuition, revision support and exam preparation for student pilots.

Tuition may cover subjects such as Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation, Aircraft General Knowledge, Principles of Flight, Operational Procedures, Human Performance, Communications, Flight Planning, Mass & Balance, Performance, Essential Maths & Physics for Pilots and PPL Skill Test Preparation.

The service is intended to support learning, revision and understanding. It is not a full CAA-approved PPL course, ATO course, DTO course, examination service or official licensing provider.

Students remain responsible for ensuring that they meet all training, examination and licensing requirements set by their flight school, DTO/ATO, examiner and the UK Civil Aviation Authority or relevant aviation authority.

  1. Booking Requests

Bookings made through the website are treated as requests until personally reviewed and confirmed.

After receiving a booking request, I will contact you by email to confirm or adjust the proposed date and time.

Students should ensure that their name, surname, email address and telephone number are entered correctly when booking.

A session is not fully confirmed until the date, time, tuition details and payment arrangements have been agreed.

  1. Payment

Payment instructions or a secure payment link may be sent by email once the session details have been agreed.

Payment must normally be received before the tuition session takes place unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For small group sessions, the final price may depend on the number of confirmed students attending. The price will be confirmed before payment is requested.

  1. Online Tuition

Tuition is normally delivered online using Microsoft Teams unless otherwise agreed.

Students are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable internet connection, device, microphone, camera if required, and access to Microsoft Teams or the agreed online platform.

If a student has technical problems, reasonable efforts will be made to continue or rearrange the session where appropriate. However, repeated or avoidable technical issues on the student’s side may still be treated as part of the booked session time.

  1. Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please give as much notice as possible.

Where possible, I will try to rearrange the session to a mutually convenient date and time.

Cancellations made with reasonable notice may be rescheduled without charge.

Late cancellations, missed sessions or non-attendance may result in the session being charged in full where this is reasonable, for example where the time has already been reserved and cannot reasonably be offered to another student.

If I need to cancel or rearrange a session due to operational, professional, flying, technical or personal reasons, I will offer an alternative date and time or, where appropriate, a refund for any session already paid for and not delivered.

  1. Small Group Sessions

Small group tuition may be offered where suitable.

Group session pricing may depend on the final number of confirmed students attending.

If the number of students changes before the session, the price per student may also change. Any final price will be confirmed before payment.

Students attending group sessions agree to behave respectfully towards other students and to avoid disrupting the session.

  1. Learning Material

Any tuition notes, worked examples, explanations, slides, diagrams or documents provided are for personal study and revision only.

They must not be copied, shared, sold, uploaded, published or distributed without written permission.

The material is intended as study support and should be used alongside official training material, flight school instruction, approved manuals and current aviation publications.

  1. Accuracy of Information

Every reasonable effort is made to provide accurate and useful tuition based on current aviation knowledge and training practice.

However, aviation rules, procedures, publications and examination requirements can change.

Students are responsible for checking current official sources, including CAA publications, flight school guidance, approved training material, aircraft manuals and examiner requirements where applicable.

  1. Examination Results

PPL Tuition aims to help students improve their understanding and exam preparation.

However, no guarantee is given that a student will pass any examination, flight test, skill test or assessment.

Success depends on the student’s own preparation, study, attendance, ability, flight school training and examination performance.

  1. Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for their own learning, preparation and decision-making.

Tuition does not replace instruction from an approved flight instructor, flight school, DTO, ATO, examiner or official aviation authority.

Students must not rely on private tuition alone for operational flying decisions.

  1. Communication

Communication will normally be by email and, where appropriate, telephone.

Please ensure your contact details are correct when making a booking request.

PPL Tuition is not responsible for missed communication caused by incorrect email addresses, incorrect telephone numbers, spam filters or failure to check messages.

  1. Refunds

Refunds may be considered where a paid session cannot be delivered or rearranged.

Refunds are not normally provided for missed sessions, late cancellations or non-attendance unless agreed at my discretion and where it is reasonable in the circumstances.

Where a refund is appropriate, it will normally be made using the original payment method where possible.

  1. Website Information

The information on this website is provided for general guidance about private PPL theory tuition.

While reasonable care is taken to keep the website accurate and up to date, details such as pricing, availability, course content and booking arrangements may change.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PPL Tuition is not liable for indirect losses, loss of opportunity, loss of training progress, failed examinations, failed tests, or decisions made by students based on tuition discussions.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

  1. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Tuition services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
